You can select from American, French, Italian, Jewish, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and other international cuisines when you visit Chiang Mai.

Generally the prices are higher if you want to dine in the touristy areas of the city. The best meals in terms of quality and value are Thai meals.

If you want a hamburger or french fries it is not easy to find but they are all here. With all the fat content you received back home in North America or whatever country you are from.

The food is safe to eat even from the roadside vendors but do drink water as if you become dehydrated you may get an upset stomach and then blame it on a roadside vendor meal that you consumed.

The All you Can Eat Buffets are a super bargain for the price and you can select from a good variety of soups, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, with a touch of American foods from potatoes or fries or spaghetti.

Our personal favorites are:
- dinner at Kalare Food Court on Changklan rd. and free Thai show
- shishkebob dinner at Raming Lodge on Loikroh rd.
- dinner on Walking Street on Sundays .. 2 temples have vendors on temple grounds.. cheap and delicious with fantastic selection to pick from.
